Photographer's Note

Another shot of Saint Michael's Roman catholic basilica of Alba Iulia(Weissenburg/Karlsburg/Gyulafehérvár).

As in my previous post, but from another angle, pictured here is the 12th century Romanesque small sanctuary at the end of the northern aisle of the cathedral.

"Thus passes away worldly glory"; nothing of phisical state lasts for ever. For more than 800 years it has witnessed time pass by, history unfold, people and things that come and go. Built in honour of divine glory, yet it falls in the same category as well: it is a worldly creation. Perhaps divine grace is the secret to its long lasting - divine grace through the hands of the master craftsmen that built it.

The challenging part about these last 2 shots was taking them through a crisscrossing wire fence which surrounds the cathedral since it is currently under renovation.
