Photographer's Note

It is the oldest Romanian soil, its origins are dated between Baikaliene movements. Its northern and southern boundaries are marked by deep faults ie Peceneaga-Camen (north) and Capidava-Ovidiu (south). The two fault lines delimit the plateau itself, which appears as a flattened horst composed of green schist, of Precambrian age (the oldest rocks in Romania).
