City of Braşov

View on the city center of Braşov.
The picture is taken on Tâmpa Mountain (900m above sea level).

More pictures of Braşov taken from this top have been posted on TE. My picture has zoomed in a little more on the Braşov Council Building and Braşov Council Square (Piaţa Sfatului).

Braşov is located in the central part of the country, about 166 km from Bucharest.
It’s surrounded by the Southern Carpathians and is a part of Transylvania.

considering the distance, the perfect neatness of this image is really impressive. The suggestive side light puts in relief the roofs of the houses and creates a beautiful alternation of lights and shades. Excellent POV, compliment!

An excellent point of view, maybe with a lot of lighting, but with details perfectly defined.

The frame provides a good balance and perspective in the distribution of houses and buildings, cause a striking effect.

Hello Paul, A lovely aerial view of this city taken from an excellent high POV. I notice that the roofs are almost all the same colour except for those few in the front, they brighter. I also like the view of the Church with it's bell tower & square. Interesting shot with good colour & clarity.

Very good shot of the city. You found a good point to take a photo of it (but I read that was not too easy). I like the rows of the houses, the red roofs and my favorite on this picture the square with the church in the middle.

Your high POV makes this one excellent. I like the idea of 'focussing' on the central square & the council building, which seems, from this POV, nestleing between the red roofed houses. Pretty much like a legoland, it looks! A fine shot Paul..well done!

A bird-view from high point over town, Paul, wonderfully show the red roof-tops houses around the big square with a cathedral.
Afternoon side light enhanced the depth and contrast, especially on the narrow allies.

Braşov is one of the most interesting towns of this part of Romania. Very nice old cute houses, inviting cozy streets with shops and cafes. Well, the summer colors are more attractive than my January pictures ;)

wow, this is a great point of view!
The town hall seems familiar but I have never seen it from this angle :)
We can also admire the structure of the old town with the red roofs making a nice repeated motif.
