Photographer's Note

This is problably a cliché - Many times we refer to beautiful photos of landscapes: "It seems almost a painting!"; and to some fine realistic paintings of landscapes: "It seems almost a photo!"

Is this our way to express the way we like so much beautiful images of landscapes, being either photos or paintings? And why relating it with other forms of art? If a photo looks like a painting, does it make it better?

A landscape in Alentejo. Typical trees spread all over the plain and a 'painting' on the sky at the end of the day, with two big clouds pointing to the prettiest tree. Nature is the artist.
