Photographer's Note

I just arrived from a few days relaxing and cycling in Alentejo and instead of Carnival images, I have my head full of landscapes. This is problably not the best one, but it summarizes well the Alentejo's landscape: not completely flat as many people think, but with continuous softly undulating fields, that make the cycling rides quite enjoyable: The trees in the back are lining the road where I took this ride . The water is from the Maranhão dam lake and it's completely full due to the heavy rains of this winter. Those trees are almost under water. Mostly they are cork and holm oaks, with the ocasional olive or fig tree.
This was taken not far from this undulating green carpet .
