Nazaré, Portugal

It was in century XVIII that the call was formed beach of the Nazaré. Until this date a great area of sea only existed that encircled the Pederninha and the Small farm. It was here that the fishing lived and if they took refuge of the constant attacks of pirates. The Nazaré always is associated with the legend of D. Fuas Roupinho. In séc. IV, one Greek monk called Círico looked asylum in Belém and loaded obtains an image of Ours Lady of the Nazaré, that says to have been sculptured in the East for S. José, in presencwe of the Mother of Christ. The Image finishes for being offered the Convent of the Monges de Cauliniano, in Mérida. (Babelfish translation)
