Photographer's Note
I like the pavements of Lisbon with their mosaics of black and white stone. The changing patterns make the streets a bit more interesting. So, while oh-ing and ah-ing over the many beutiful buildnings, don't forget to look where you put your feet.
This photo was taken from the top of the Elevador de Santa Justa, looking straight down on the street below. Being early Sunday morning, not many people were out yet, and I thought about taking the empty pavement. Then this black guy, dressed in all white, turns around the corner and puts an interesting point of contrast into an otherwise plain frame.
