Solar de Mateus, a photo from Vila Real, North

Photographer's Note

This is part of the magnificent gardens of the 18th-century Mateus palace. Somehow, it makes me feel as if I were in the animated feature: Alice in Wonderland. lol!
I will post later some pictures of the palace, since
it is one of the finest examples of baroque architecture in Portugal and its image graces Mateus wine bottles.

Hi Gabriel, it is funny to see the different expressions of baroque. You see it in music as well, Franch baroque music is way differnet from the german one, and also the peiords differ, because it never started at the same time on different places.
Very nice arches. What I find disturg=bing a birt, but it's what you often see with a lot of green tints, are the sort of squares in the green, there are too many details for such a small size of the picture.

Gosto muito destas imagens repetidas e sucessivas - um arco dentro do outro, etc. Adoro jardins e este é um belo exemplo. Belas cores, nitidez e luminosidade.

Gabriel, perfecto punto de vista. Me gusta bastante la forma en que se ve tan lejos la ultima parte del paseo y sobre todo la interpretacion que da a entender de una manera muy poetica. Well done!

Gabriel you sure found a fantastic viewpoint in this walkway. Very inviting taken like this. The perspective is soinviting too. Such a formal and elegant garden. An amazing POv. A fine photo showing what a fine place this is to visit.
