Barrancos is a village in the District of Beja, Alentejo region and lies on the border between Portugal and Spain, the village of Barrancos has a culture of border village and combining in their culture and identity traces of Portuguese region of Alentejo and the Spanish region of Andalusia, which are well patents in the local dialect, in gastronomy, celebrations and bullfights.
The geographical situation of Bounds dictated a great isolation from the rest of the country, but ensured the preservation of their culture and of their natural resources.
