Photographer's Note

I have recently presented a photo from Batalha. It was however not very typical composition therefore I am back now with a postcard-type view.
Batalha, similarly to Alcobaša, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and both are spectacular and definitely worth of visit. Alcobaša was a place commemorating a victory over Moorish army and the beginnings of the Portuguese state. Batalha celebrates the victory over Spanish.
The architectural styles are very different. That is actually the reason why I wanted to upload one more shot from this place. It is truly a masterpiece of gothic architecture and even least sensitive people will be surely impressed by the beauty and size of this monastery.
I have chosen this shot because it shows not only few rich gothic details of the monastery but also in the far right corner the Unfinished Chapels which I have presented in my previous upload from this place.
