Photographer's Note

A sundial measures the passage of time by observing the position of the Sun the most common, are formed by a flat surface that serves as the dial, where are marked lines that indicate the hours, and by a PIN or card, whose shadow on the dial works like a pointer in a common clock hours. As the position of the Sun varies, the shadow moves over the surface of the display, passing successively by the lines that indicate the hours.
Sagres is one of the most important sites in the history of Portugal, as it was where the Infante Dom Henrique (Henrique the Navigator), the browser, founded the school of Navegación where they were formed the sailors who went to the voyages of discoveries.
The imposing fortress of Sagres, built by the Henrique the Navigator in the 15th century, allows us to look inside all this past.
