Photographer's Note
The Albufeira Lagoon is located in the municipality of Sesimbra, Setúbal district.
The lagoon is 15 meters maximum depth, it is fed by fresh water from two streams and the salt water of the sea, when the dunes is open, and consists of three lagoons: the Grande Lagoon, the Pequena Lagoon and the Estacada Lagoon.
Since 1987 part of the National Ecological Reserve, being a special protection zone for birds
