Photographer's Note

If I had to choose just one photo that showed how was Alentejo in the end of April, this was problably the one. This is the opposite POV to the same landscape taken from the bridge seen at left background. The water is from the Maranhão dam lake and it's completely full due to the heavy rains of last winter. It's still raining a lot these last days.
Alentejo is at its most beautifull during springtime: all the grasses, bushes and trees are blooming, and you can sense all kinds of different perfumes in the air. In many places the colour of the flowers completely submerges the green, and you can see purple, red, lavender, blue, white, or as in this case, yellow, fields, or all the colours at the same time. The yellow fields were the most impressive ones, extending for the furthest distances.
