Photographer's Note

Mild climate for all and waterfront for a few.

You need a helicopter to immediately recognise that true luxury was not what replaced oil tanks and a refinery, as construction around the last waterfront vacant lot nears completion.

It begun 15 years ago, supposedely as a tribute to one of the moments of true luxury in the history of the world as we know it.
At the end, the flag waving on top of the tower, meant to help the descendants forget that they abdicated from the ultimate luxury asset of Portugal, national independence.

The circle is completed. Sailing uncharted waters again. But this time the water is black and no boats in sight.
