Photographer's Note

Consisting of various bodies built during the course of successive epochs on the so-called "Chão da Oliva", the Paço da Vila de Sintra is one of the most important examples of regal architecture in Portugal and for that reason is classified as a National Monument. This gradual multiplication of buildings, with different styles, is largely responsible for the enigmatic enchantment of this ancient palace, dominated by great twin chimneys atop the kitchen that constitute as authentic ex-libris of Sintra.

Interesante arquitectura la de este palacio, sobre todo me llama la atencion el tipo de chimenea que tiene, estoy con Manuel le falta un pelin de definicion que realmente no molesta a la vista. Muy buen POV y colores.

Bonita imagem do Palácio da Vila em Sintra.
Boas cores naturiais e contraste.
O composição também está bem conseguida só o telhado negro no inferior da imagem é que está a mais.
De qualquer forma é uma bonita imagem.

Hi Manuel,
You have a really nice composition here. The colours and contrasts are so strong and vivid, particularly the dark greens of the trees and gardens against the white walls. It also appears to be a really intriguing building and I found your note interesting.

De facto, a definição da imagem não está no seu melhor, mas a composição e o POV são muito bons assim como as cores. Sintra é um local mágico de uma beleza infinita e vale sempre a pena mostrá-la aqui. Constitui igualmente um belo tributo ao nosso grande amigo Fernando. Parabéns e muito obrigado!

A fitting tribute to dear Fernando, who was such a vibrant part of TE...I really like the clarity of detail and the hues and tones of this scene. The lines and graphics are superb and the different styles referenced in your note very evident. I also like how the shrubbery cloaks and enhances the buildings. Very well done, Manuel.

Buena foto de la bella arquitectura de Portugal, me gusta el verde por delante de los colores claros del edificio. El cielo está muy bonito.
Quizás encuentro que le falta un poco de definición a las dos chimeneas, pero la foto es buena.

Très intéressant et très curieux ensemble architectural avec ces cheminées monumentales coniques.
Il paraît qu'aujourd'hui Portugais et étrangers, écrivains et artistes, n'ont qu'un mot pour qualifier Sintra : le Paradis !

Parece que esas dos "torres" miren hacia el cielo, dándole un sentido diferente a la foto, ¿no?.
Y el color de la foto acaba dando ese toque diferente.

Bonito conjunto arquitectonico...son muy curiosas las chimeneas, me gustan. La composición y los colores son magnificos también. Tal vez si falte un poco de nitidez pero en general me gusta.

¿Cómo estás mi amigo?

Me gusta mucho lo natural de los colores y la iluminación, así como el PoV.

Respecto de la composición, solamente por una cuestión de gusto personal, tal vez pensaría en excluir ese tejado que aparece en el primer plano, en la pate inferior de la imagen.
