Photographer's Note

I won't make up a philosophical story around this picture. It's just a typical case of a technically born-dead picture (taken through glass, little focus, little light) that has nevertheless always attracted me. I like the feel it has, the point-of-view, the geometric lines, the movement. I added contrast and excessive sharpening to give it more punch.

This was the day it snowed in Lisbon. Happens about once every 35 years. These guys had gone out to play and were coming back in for shelter.
