Photographer's Note

First of all I passed today the 70000 points so to celebrate I invite you for a lunch... ha ha

Just kidding, in the note to my previous photo, I mentioned Portuguese drinks so I thought I will talk here about my experience of the Portuguese cuisine.
As mentioned before, during my stay in Lisbon, I had the pleasure to meet one of my favourite TrekEarth photographers, Aires dos Santos. He invited us for a dinner to a restaurant known only to local connoisseurs, serving some traditional Portuguese meals. The dinner started with two appetizers. The first one is presented in the main upload while the second one I will attach as a workshop. I rarely share the photos of food, but that was one of the most memorable meals I had in my life. I am a little worried that I appeared rude because I didnít touch the appetizers at all. Luckily my wife, always eager to try something new, something local, she tried everything saving us the embarrassment. The main meal consisted of a large fish platter with a great selection of various fish coming in many shapes and colors. I did try some of the main meal but even that was slightly too textured for my taste. At certain point there was a beggar passing by and she asked whether we finished our meal already. Since we didnít eat anymore, I suggested we should share the meal with her. Again, not sure whether this came out as rude. I did appreciate the great gesture, but I usually prefer to stick to simple unsophisticated meals.
