Colors of Algarve, a photo from Algarve, South

Photographer's Note

Approaching slowly the end of my reportage from Portugal, I decided to show few more photos from Algarve which show the characteristic orange-colored cliffs. I think there are two major spots in Algarve where you can enjoy hiking these photogenic rock formations. The most popular among tourists is the Ponta de Piedade near Lagos, which I mentioned previously. The second area (in this photo) is east from Alvor. I marked it on the map in the right panel under this photo. Alternatively paste the coordinates from the bottom of the note into Google Maps.

The town on the horizon is most likely Portimao.

Hello Mariusz,

You are mu neighbour, today.

You have found a good spot for your composition which not only reveals the details of the orange cliff face but also, creates a smooth, leisurely curve, to guide us around the edge of the cyan sea.
The rocks are nicely included, resembling sharks basking in the water.
How good to have so much good light whilst on holiday!

Hello Mariusz,
The different blue and green colors of the sea gave extra attraction to the picture.
Rocks on the bay look as part of land disintegrated long time ago, work of nature's forces upon.
Excellent outcome as susal.

Hello Mariusz,
The sight seems familiar to me, but the name Alvor means nothing to me. I'm not sure but is there a place near Albufeira with a similar view?
Very nice photo with the reddish cliffs and the many rocks scattered in the sea.
The only drawback - not from the photo but from the view for the adventurous hiker - is the high-rise buildings not so far from here. I probably expect too much.

another nice sample of the western seashore of algarve and its cliffs.I liked the use of the islets in the lower part with the city at distance.
