Hello friends and colleagues, today I offer a view of the fortified city of Valença, beautiful Portuguese town north of the country, near the border with Spain in the region of Galicia, hope you like it, then some letters on the city.

Valença, commonly known as Valença do Minho, is a Portuguese city located in the district of Viana do Castelo, North and sub-Minho-Lima, with approximately 8,000 people in its core and 14,127 inhabitants (2011) within its municipal .

It is the seat of the homonymous municipality with 117.43 km ² of area and subdivided into 16 parishes (parishes). Bordered on the east by the municipality of Moncao, south to Paredes de Coura, west to Vila Nova de CERVEIRA and northwest and north with Spain (town of Tuy).

He received a charter of Sancho II of Portugal, being then baptized as contrasts. It received its current name in 1262. Minho's nickname comes from the Rio Minho.

As of February 10, 2012 near the city of Tuy (Spain) form a sample Eurocity as cooperation and integration between the two cities separated only by two bridges spanning the River Minho.

This photo is very nice for both the composition and very precise framing the landscape, perfectly favoring the rules of landscape photography, but especially for the colors that are credited with an abundant nature; you have been able to present it very well in the frame thanks to an excellent photo work execution.

do you know if this town is a popular tourist town? or is it void of tourists?

looks like a lovely place to spend the day, or perhaps two. one of the best parts about traveling is driving into such places.

la composizione è perfetta e assai curata nella disposizione del soggetto. Hai avuto anche la fortuna di trovare un cielo piuttosto movimentato che si addice a paerfezione allo stesso soggetto.
Anche i colori sono molto belli nelle loro tinte piuttosto sature. Trovo però un po' eccessivo il contrasto che ha nascosto i dettagli di alcune zone in ombra, ma ritengo che questo sia dipeso essenzialmente dagli ISO piuttosto elevati con i quali hai effettuato lo scatto.
Credo che anche una elaborazione in bianco e nero possa dfare un risultato di tutto rispetto.

A beautiful scene, and more than anything that sky makes the scene really superb! Its full of activity and wonderful color, and the bright light casts some great shadows into the scene as well. You chose a great vantage point to capture this, really nicely done.

What i like most abt this picture is the light and colors quality and superb composition by sandwiching the bright red roofs in between the wonderful skies and earth tone with lovely green patch creating a stunning contrast. An instance where having an abundance of the sky works in your favor, and the placement of the village and fields is placed perfectly along the 1/3 line. Amazing what clouds can do for the impact of an image, and this is a great example. Beautiful colors and detail all around, and I actually enjoy the heavy contrast of shade along the foreground. beautiful rural scene!
The FG with colorful fields and view of Valencia in the distance.For me truly magnificent juxtaposition.
Another thing I enjoy here so much is the play of light&shades,which is visible especially in the FG so well.And in the end-colors.They´re really fabulous,so bright,vivid and contrasting nicely with each other.

Esplendida esta vista que nos muestra de forma muy completa, el encanto de esta poblacion con sus torres e iglesias, tipicas del estilo portugues, preciosos los verdes y amarillos de estos campos en primer plano, el cielo esta de fabula y es un complemento grandioso a esta hermosa composicion.

you've combined the features and colours that make up the character of this scenery in an original and effective way, giving a strong role to elements that would be undernined in other photos. I'm impressed by the effect of the shadows that follow the major perspective of the scenery and make the brilliance of the colours more eye-catching. Side light enhanced shadows of the ancient walls over the terraces. manged fine depth and vivid saturated colors. Red roof-tops makes a "border" from land to sky, in fine contrast.
