Photographer's Note
Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto) is certainly a structure which you want to visit on your trip to the town. It is interesting, original and beautifully located on top of a hill. The architecture itself is relatively plain hence I decided to dress its view with the elaborate framing in the foreground. As the title suggests it works a bit like lingerie: it sort of hides but not too much and it fuels your imagination about what may possibly be behind. The decorative elements in the foreground are part of the Pillory of Porto.

Special perspective with the decorative monuments in front and the church on the far side, Mariusz.
Details of the old stones clearly shown.
Have a nice new day,

Hello Mariusz,
The cathedral looks beautiful and stands out well from the blue sky. The sculptures in the foreground are well included and add a nice contrast with the straighter lines of the façades. Well done.

Hello Mariusz,
You chose a lovely angle between the big vases.
Also the frontage of the church makes your picture attractive.
Your picture is very pleasant to look at.
Nice composition, excellent presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hi Mariusz,
You found a wonderful angle showing this big cathedral between sculpted details of foreground. People on the square really look small on this scene. It is a lovely place. Unfortunately it was foggy when I was there so views I saw were limited.

Hello Mariusz,
Not quite lingerie ... ha, ha, but I do love the way you have used these decorative, f/g features to create such a strong, interesting f/g, setting the scene perfectly for the view of the cathedral beyond. They seem to draw attention to the circular window which looks like one of the most decorative features on the facade.
The frame is really interestingly filled with stone features.
My warm regards,
Bev 😊

Hi Mariusz, nice idea for the title..ahaha..in fact the facade seems a bit simple, reminds a bit the style of church of Puglia in Italy.A great choice of POV for a rich composition with some elements from the square, well done! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

these portuguese romanic cathedrals are the ones I love a lot.they are like castles and so old, in fact they were created as a fort in those turbulent days. excellent idea this inclusion of these adornments in FG.
take care

Hello Mariusz,
The fg stone balustrades add depth and layering to the composition. Good colour, sharpness and framing. The bg cathedral with its twin spires adds a good focal point. Tfs!

Hello Mariusz,
Maybe an idea for Christo to conceal a cathedral under lingerie.
But you are right that the architecture of this cathedral is fairly plain. Maybe with the exception of the large round window.
That is why the decorated stones around the pelourinho form a beautiful foreground.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Mariusz.
Wonderful composition, that you have well combined this beautiful balustrade of the square, with the charm of the magnificent Romanesque façade of the Porto Cathedral, magnificent that blue sky that gives such a beautiful contrast with the stone.
Wonderful colors in vivid tones, excellent sharpness and splendid light.
Very well done. I like very much.
Have a nice day.
Very best regards.
Luis.
