Photographer's Note

The Nazare is a town and municipality in the district of Leiria, and is one of the traditional Portuguese fishing villages.
Nazaré Beach has an extensive beach bounded on the north by the promontory and south and the safe harbor jetty and surrounded by a promenade. In the areal can contemplate fishermen mending nets and women dressed in the traditional costume of seven skirts, to take care of the fish drying in the sun, aligned on stilts.
Currently Nazareth became internationally known by the waves and mainly by the
biggest wave surfed the world by Garrett Mcnamara in November 2011, was awarded the prize for "Biggest Wave 2011" under the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards.
