The Farm of Loridos is a winery property located in Carvalhal, in the Bombarral Village.

The property dates back to a donation of land made by the monastery to John Anne's Golf, around 1430.
In the late fifteenth century set in Lisbon representatives of the family or Aifaitati LAFETA, bankers coming from Cremona, the home bank had branches in Rome, England, France, Spain and Flanders. In Portugal, will be joined initially the production of sugar from Madeira, and after opening the sea route to India, the spice trade. In the early sixteenth century established themselves in the region of Óbidos, having built a cottage on the grounds of Quinta dos, which however they had been given by King Manuel I.
The provision of sixteenth-century buildings, Italian-inspired, can be seen to this day, particularly in the terraced gardens and the portal "Palladian" of the central body of the building, similar to the house of Aifaitati in Cremona.
Later, in the middle of the eighteenth century, the property was in the hands of the family Sanches de Baena, as evidenced by the coat of arms over the portal of entry. In possession of this family, important changes took place that gave baroque features, especially at the entrance and the chapel.
The property changed hands in 1834, when it was acquired by Captain Joao Pedro Barboza. His son, Jose Antonio da Silva Barbosa, intended to bequeath it in his will to one pastor, who refused it, begging him to let her read a cousin, Albino Herculano da Silveira Sepúlveda, who thus inherited.
In 1989 the estate was acquired by the family company Sepúlveda J. P. Wines, SA, which promoted an extensive campaign of conservation and restoration, particularly in terms of roofs and interiors, as well as the installation of a winery for the production of sparkling wine (where stands a mill with an old press "stick") the construction of a cellar aging product and planting vineyards.

Planting vineyards occupy 45 of the 90 hectare property with 3,700 plants varieties Castellan, Fernão Pires, Merlot, Tinta Roriz, Chardonnay, Arinto, Alvarinho and Pinot

Bonjour, mon ami Aires,
J'admire cette ferme bénéficiant d'un luxe étonnant.
Ce bassin au premier plan alimenté par des fontaines d'une grande simplicité. Un cadrage très réussi. Quant à la qualité générale de la photo : excellent !

L'inserimento delle tre fontane da cui scorre l'acqua per la vasca, danno dinamicità alla scena.

Lovely architecture, I think that this combination of yellow and white is specifically Portuguese, I saw it in many photos showing places of that country. It makes a pleasant contrast with the sky....
