Village of the district of Coimbra, great part of the county is filled by the mountain of the Lousã, characterized by dense vegetation, by the rivers, fluvial beaches and by the Aldeias do Xisto - The origins date back to the Roman occupation, after the fall of the Roman Empire and during the reconquest of the territory, the references to Lousã reappear - In 1160 he obtained the charter by the hand of Dom Afonso Henriques.
