Photographer's Note

This is the same abandoned village of my first post of this series. There are many nowadays. This one is situated in the Lousã Mountain, where the mountain villages were made of schist, in perfect harmony with nature. In this case, it's situated near the Ceira River, whose banks were used for agriculture. A good part of these villages have been abandoned already. In most cases it takes a long walk to reach them, as they cannot be reached by car.
