Photographer's Note
Conveniently situated, midway between Porto and Aveiro, Santa Maria da Feira derives its name from a long tradition of holding large fairs and weekly markets in the town square. Its winding streets are lined with 18th- and 19th-century merchants houses. Built on the site of a pagan sanctuary and crowning a wooded hill on the southern edge of town, Santa Maria da Feira's castle dominates the skyline with its four towers topped with a confection of domes.
At the sunset the shadows of these domes provide excelent POV and MOMENTS.
One of them, I presume, is this one, where one can see the aligned shadows of the domes extending, in that DECISIVE moment, and trespassing the castle's external defence wall... the shadow of the wall on the tower facade gives a unreal sensation of continuity...

hi rui,
great monument you've captured.
the sky is impressive and the light is very warm - sunset perhaps, no?
pov is good and very well captured.
i just don't like the frame - i would have posted without it (but that's personal)

Rui,
Sua fotografia é muito interessante. A parede de pedra e as torres são muito lindas. O musgo e os demais vegetais contrastam lindamente com o azul do céu.
Um abraço
Paulo
