Funchal.

End of trip with the cable car above the roofs of Funchal. In the distance, a yellow building catches the eye. This is the Forte de São Tiago, built in 1614 to protect the city from pirate attacks. The fort has retained its military prerogatives until 1992, when the regional government of Madeira decides to reallocate cultural activities. Today, the building houses a contemporary art museum and a restaurant.

Overlooking the fort, you can see the Igreja (church) do Socorro.

L'ancien et le moderne se côtoient d'une bien belle façon avec cette vue par-dessus les toits.
L'église domine majestueusement l'ensemble.
Une réalisation réussie et très documentée.

in effetti il giallo del forte si nota molto bene.
Ottima composizione, una diagonale che suddivide la foto in due parti uguali, con molti dettagli nella parte inferiore e le strisce orizzontali nella parte superiore.

En effet, elle ressort bien cette maison jaune dans cette masse de rouge et de blanc. Le point de vue nous montre bien cette partie de la ville qui se presse autour de son clocher.

Lovely clean and neat skyline of a cute looking town and great that you have managed to register the minute details of it, besides the obvious attraction of the catchy yellow old fort I love the mixed of new buildings with the church tower and red roof tiles have successfully drawn our attention in as well. Your view point is great, clarity and colours are brilliant with good bit of background creating such a fine overall contrast. As usual you lens work is flawless. Great shot, Congrats and tfs.

Hello Delphine,
the red roof tops and white washed houses are bound to make very attractive view and you executed this picture very well. The high POV in here gives us also a glimpse of the sea in the far distance. I like the bits of greenery which brakes the monotony of the cityscape and adds some contrasting color to the composition.
Very good quality of the color and light management and well given sharpness.

C'est un bon point de vue et l'image est soigneusement composée.La complémentarité des couleurs est agréable avec la variation des bleus de l'arrière plan.Le jaune apporte une excellente touche à cette réalisation.

Bonjour Delphine.
Grande composition, nous montrant avec une grande qualité, ce beau tir de Funchal, toits rouges, la tour de l'église et ce genre de château, peint en jaune, tout créer une image d'une grande beauté et d'harmonie, avec le fantastique fond de la mer et le ciel.
Belle couleur, dans ces tons naturels.
Également à la fois la netteté, tels que l'éclairage est super.
