Funchal is the largest city, the municipal seat and the capital of Portugal's Autonomous Region of Madeira. The city has a population of 111,892[1] and has been the capital of Madeira for more than five centuries.
Funchal is located inside a natural amphitheater-shaped valley, with gentle slopes beginning at the coast which rise to 1200 meters, that provided a natural shelter for early settlers.
In addition to the urbanized area, the municipality includes the Ilhas Selvagens (English: Savage Islands, a nature reserve located 160 km (100 mi) south of the capital

De retour après une petite pause avec cette magnifique photo. L'édifice est bien présenté dans un bel éclairage qui le met bien en valeur devant un superbe ciel. Bel architecture, excellente qualité d'image et rendu des couleurs.

eccellente, direi perfetta la scelta del POV che mette in grande risalto la torre di questa bella costruzione e nello stesso tempo mettendola in un o splendido contrasto cromatico con il cielo azzurro. Bella anche la resa del verde del prato grazie alla bella luce, splendidi i colori e l'inserimento dell'albero in alto a destra. Congratulazioni.

Ola Aires ,
I've visited Funchal , but it was the "festa da flor" , so I've not got the time to see all the important monuments and buiding . This one is interesting . I like the angle of view and contrast of the white walls with the green grass and the blue sky .

Hello Aires,
great to see your photo from this beautiful island.I known this place well.I took also some pictures of it,but from the other side of the road.
But your POV is definitely much better and proved us excellent view of this impressive building.The image has also outstanding quaity and superb,vivid colors.

C'est toujours un grand plaisir de voir une de tes photos ici. Excellent cadrage de ce bâtiment blanc de Funchal. Sous cette lumière, il contraste superbement avec le bleu du ciel.
