Photographer's Note

One of the beaches in Gdansk, Poland

I took this shot during my holidays in Gdansk.
It is wonderful city on the coast of Baltic Sea.

It is also synonymous with beautiful, clean beaches.

People come to the beach not only for swimming or sunbathing, as our sea is not so hot ;-) but
to relax and spend some time wit family or friends.

ja tez tam bylem ale tylko na weekend :(
Niestety nie mam czasu na wolne w te wakacje,

Hi Paulina. A wonderful family shot of what summer is all about. It brings back memories of my family's time at the beach. Great POV that includes the chap in the foreground, blissfully oblivious to the little dramas all around as he busily soaks up the sun. Excellent DOF.Pozdrawiam. Klaudio.

seems mundane but I like this picture, transports us to the place and introduces us to people, that s the magic of photography.

Zabawne, ale przede wszystkim fajnie skomponowane. Cała rodzinka na plaży. Dobra robota łącznie z wujkiem na pierwszym planie, dekoltem cioci i upiaszczonym dzieckiem. Duą frajda.

I like this a lot. It is a fantastic POV. I have the feeling you probably know these people which makes it a little less exciting...but it is like a great seaside picture from the 60's or 70's with vivid colours.

:))) Świetne. Kwintesencja wypoczynku na plaży. Spanie, jedzenie, taplanie się w wodzie. Dzieci i płcie wszystko wymieszane z piachem... Ja bym dała jeszcze do humorystycznych :))

Martin Parr eat your heart out......a great shot Paulina -the depth of field is wonderful, the lighting and colour excellent and your composition so rich and full - there is just so much humanity in this image and gentle humour The ways in which the figures tessellate and frame each other is just marvelous - a favourite for this year for sure!! A really great shot!

This is a fabulous shot Paulina. Beautifully sharp throughout. I especially like the triangle of faces, and the way the mothers face is framed by the boys arm. The colours are very natural too. And if Kev likes it it must be good!

Hi Paulina,
you have many excellent photos in your gallery..and you have your own style. A little weird, very direct, always with a good eye for proportions and image formation. For example this one, every person is shown from another angle, all at a different distance, the golden ratio to be found nearly everywhere.
Great photowork !
