Photographer's Note

The Sun climbed a little higher above the horizon and shone on orange. Illuminating the yellow sand mixed with snow, made such an sweet-colour effect.

I used a gradual neutral grey filter to darken the sky.
No postprocessing, these are colours of nature :).

Hi Henryk. Fascinating landscape thanks to the light and the combination of warm and cool colours. It could be somewhere in Takla Makan or God knows where.The snow is transformed into a salty terrain in a barren place where trees die.Clever manipulation or augmenting of what one sees.You call it sweet, I see a desert.But then we see the world in our own fashion. Hi Henryk, not a lot to say on that either. The winter landscape reminds me more of a desert landscape and less of a beach. I'm not used to see snow on a beach, but people laying and getting bronzed. The sky is really beautiful and gives the rigth contrast to the texture of the sand and snow.

Osobiscie, nie robie pejzazy, i duzo mi potrzeba, azeby widok natury na zdjeciu zaparl mi dech...tutaj, zaparl.

Co tu duzo mowic, jest to wysza sztuka malarstwa fotograficznego. Kompozycja linii, roznorodnosc tonow, subtelnosc odcieni, gra swiatla i cienia : poezja.

today I saw your photos for the first time, and I can't understand why I haven't seen any of them before. This seems to be representative for all of them; sharp with very deep and rich colours.
In Latvia winter finaly arrived, and I feel happy. This scene is what I still miss, going out and enjoy the nature.

What a surrealistic shot — one that Salvador Dali would have been proud to have produced himself. It looks like an alien world, if suddenly you saw creatures in the picture, you would not expect them to like us.

Une photo bien loin des sentiers battus avec une lumière et des couleurs surréalistes mais très belles. Cet orange dû au sable attire le regard surtout qu'il est en opposition avec le bleu preque foncé du ciel.

Hey Henryk,

Sweet-N-Nice...Snow glazed in yellow sand, colour similar to Krispy Kreme! You may have taken this scenery during winter creating a uniquely atmospheric, early sun shining at low angles showing long shadows.
