Photographer's Note

I`ve seen so many squirrels on Trek Earth already...
They are a bit different, depending on the country they come from. I decided to give up my favourite theme that day, which is "landscapes", and share with you a typical polish foxy squirrel.

If you haven`t been in Poland and haven`t seen polish squirrel yet, you don`t know what the russet or foxy colour means, my friend :)

This animal is a symbol of polish woods, parks and gardens even.

That`s why they are very friendly if you take some nuts with you. One well-known habit of some species of squirrels is gathering and storing nuts for the winter.

That morning I didn`t take nuts with me. Actually, I never use any bribes to stimulate my wild models to pose for me. I prefer to capture just a natural activity of searching food, which is a bit more ambitious for a photographer. Sometimes the results it brings are not bad, I think. This bloodless hunting took me quite a long time, but it was worthwhile since I like this shot.

There is one more information for you. The autumn in Poland is not just a regular autumn. The colours like those on the picture are ubiquitous during the time from Sep to Nov, making Poland look like the foxy kingdom then.

I hope you enjoy the princess of polish woods :)
