Photographer's Note

I just had to use this title! Golden Gate in English makes me think of the famous bridge in San Francisco but translated into Polish, Złota Brama, it is a name of one of the beautiful gates to the Gdansk old town. It was photographed from a great Italian restaurant along Dluga Street, the main pedestrian promenade of the old town. It is worth to mention here that behind this gate there is another which is taller so what you see is a merge of two towers in fact.
This picture illustrates my struggle with the weather again. The light makes such a huge difference for photography. Photographers are often judged by what they show but if you really want to show a place and you face a terrible light, there is not that much you can do. This normally very colorful scene was quite washed out on a grey weather day.
In the workshop I will show a view in the opposite direction.
