Today is a symbolic photo on Good Friday!

Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday, and may coincide with the Jewish observance of Passover. It is also known as Holy Friday.

The crucifix in the church of St. Barbara from 1826 in Karmin.
Karmin - a village (formerly a town) in Poland located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, in the Pleszew poviat, in the Dobrzyca commune. Located about 25 kilometers from Ostrów Wielkopolski.
Karmin was granted city charter before 1458, and was degraded before 1500.

Hello Krzysztof,
The crucifix and its immediate surroundings have an attractive simplicity. The colours are fine and the photo is nicely cropped. In Swedish this day is called the Long Friday, probably because of the long suffering of Christ on the cross. In earlier days it seemed so long to children because it was so boring. Everything was closed, and there was no fun. ;-)

Yes, Good Friday is am important day. The point of view is showing the details of the crucifix in the St.Barbara church. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

bardzo stosowna prezentacja na te okolicznosc. Stary krzyz i stare naczynie na wode swiecona.
Ja teraz przypuszczam ze znowu zwolnie z TE, o wiele mniej czasu mam znowu. A te zdjecia ktore mialem przygotowane sie skonczyly wiec musze wgrzebac sie w archiwa badz gdzies sie wybrac a to znow wymaga czasu..
Wesolych Swiat zycze, mam nadzieje ze jestes juz zaszczepiony ;)

This crucifix is immediately recognisable and couldn't be posted on a more appropriate day.
I like the simplicity of the composition, nothing to detract from the sculpture.
The arches, either side, one light and one shaded, add artistry.

the crucifix is something rustic as this piece of stone in the lower part of the compo. excellent image.
