Stable unicorns, a photo from Lodzkie, West

Photographer's Note

It is the center of Lodz. All around are the post-communist architecture.
After two years of renovation the cars are moving now through a new tunnel. At the top it was built tram station, dubbed by locals stable unicorns.
The whole structure weighs about 100 tons, and its dimensions are 100 to 33 meters.

Hi Piotr,

The length of the tunnel is giving depth to the composition. The presence of the people is adding life to the scene. The point of view is showibg the details of the tunnel. Have a nice day.

That's the most beautiful tram station I've ever seen!
The white structure with the glass at the top looks absolutely wonderful.
Also very open and spacious.
Presented in nice soft tones.

Bardzo atrakcyjne zdjecie tej ciekawej struktury. Udalo ci sie ujac nie tylko sama architekture, ale tez pastelowe kolory nieba (zachod?) w oddali.
Nazwa "Stajnia Jednorozcow" brzmi romantycznie. :-)

cześc Piotrze, Ja widzę, ze muszę sie wybrać do Łodzi. jest tam co sfotografować. Jaki piekny przystanek tramwajowy. A gdzies czytałam że Łódź (jak i Polska zresztą) w ruinie. Jakos tylko nie widzę tych jednorożców. Architekt chyba widział dzieła Calatravy, to m trochę przypomina Oriente w Lizbonie. Sliczne światlo, ładnby widok miasta, delikatne kolory. Na takim przystanku warto nawet troche poczekać.

Hello Piotr,
A trains station under modern style structure, a well taken photo of, with good depth abd light management.
Personally, I find old edifices of RR stations more attractive, but that's only my preferences.
Always action when people are in motion in such places.
Superbly collected sight.

Bonjour Piotr,

J'aime beaucoup cette composition.Quel bel endroit où on peut voir le ciel à travers la verrière. Belle ligne de fuite qui nous offre de la profondeur et un regard vers la ville au loin.

Struktura jest świetna, a takie "ekstrawagancje" bardzo mi się podobają, bardzo pozytywny objaw w przypadku Łodzi, a o Wrocławiu trudno coś takiego powiedzieć

Hello Piotr,
I was disappointed that I had time to see so little of Lodz last year. This looks like a very fine construction, or at least you have made it look fine. In spite of its 100 tons it looks very light and airy, thanks to the glass-panes, the slender pillars and all the light streaming into it. I like the pink clouds in the distance and the pink tones inside the building.

Really nice modern architecture. I like the graphism and those patterns on the glass. Light is very well managed. The town must have changed a lot these last years.

It looks like an amazing structure, with its lattice work of structural supports. I love the glass detailing, particularly the coloured section, which draws the eyes towards it!
You have a good, sharp exposure and have created a fine sense of perspective.

stajnia jednorozcow???
Nie za bardzo rozumiem te nazwe.
Nie mniej miejsce jest bardzo ciekawe i bardzo atrakcyjnie pokazane tutaj.
W oddali poranne lub wieczorne niebo, zimny dzien bo ludzie w grubych kurtkach,
Super interesujaca konstrukcja, dobra ilustracja do tematu "Polska w ruinie".
Nigdy nie bylem w Lodzi wiec z ogromna ciekawoscia ogladam zdjecia z tego miasta.
Swietne wykonanie!

Hi Piotr,

The architecture is reminiscent of the Lisbon bus station only it is all in white rather than gold. The tram lines provide strong lead in lines and perspective and their diagonal axis adds dynamism. Tfs!
