Radoszyce in the evening light, a photo from Podkarpackie, East

Photographer's Note

Hi there,

Today a piece of architecture from my homeland. I took this picture in Radoszyce village in East Ma³opolska, the southeastern part of Poland, in Bieszczady mountains.

It is situated below the main watershed at the foot of the Radoszyce Mountain Pass, and has an elevation of 570 metres. It is the oldest settlement in the Os³awica river-basin, in the Roman era trade route that passed through this area.

In the centre of the village there is a wooden Greek-Catholic church of Saint Demitrius dating 1868 which now serves as the Roman-Catholic church. The wooden church was renovated in 1899. A filial church is located in Os³awica, 3 km away. Inside the church there is an original iconostas and Rococo altar from the 18th century. Above the village there is a chapel by a stream with a "miraculous spring". Inside the chapel there is an interesting, contemporary icon of Christ in Gethsemane. In 1785 the village lands comprised 25.6 sq². There were inhabited by about 830 (1785). In 1936 there were about 1100 persons.

Mocna gradjevina pokazana ovom dobrom fotografijom, dobrih boja i ostrinom snimka.
Posebno dobar trenutak snimka sa dramaticnim nebom koje daje car ovoj fotografiji.

Namaste Dariusz,
ideal weather and light condition for capture a shot. Nice greeneries in foreground and beautiful blue sky in background. In middle you positioned the nice architecture with diagonal POV. Great depth and sharpness that the trunk of trees and the building is crystal clear. Soft light acts here a vital role. Just a beautiful scene. Tfs.

Good framing with the trees. Very nice with their long shadows in a diagonal line and parallel with the church.
The redbrown of the wooden façade adds warm colours to the picture. Splendid sky.

Piękne kolorki jak zwykle u Ciebie i bardzo ciekawa kompozycja z oprawą w postaci dwóch drzew. Zupełnie jakbym tam stała i zaglądała z za nich. Chmury na niebie sprawiają wrażenie jakby były cały czas w ruchu. Świetny efekt osiągnąłeś. Troszkę przypomina HDR ale nadal wygląda naturalnie.

The evening light is gorgeous and the long shadows are an excellent feature of the image. The foreground trees seem to act as sentinels for the little wooden church. You were luck with the sky, which is beautiful and tops off a wonderful image.

kolejna doskonala praca. Troszeczke dziwne te drzewa jako framing (to lewe troche ciemne) ale efekt bardzo fajny.
Przede wszystkim szeroki kat i polaryzacja zrobily swoje. Wspaniale swiatlo.
Widze ze coraz mniej obawiasz sie PP. Efekt bardzo korzystny. Takie zdjecia robia bardzo mocne wrazenie.
