Photographer's Note
There is not a single element of human presence on Earth more important to photography than...
THE FACE !
All of them !
The only other element that can be compared to the human faces is: The snow flake.
Billions of them and no two of them alike !

Eram quod es; eris quod sum
How did it happen ?
When did it happen ?
It was me, that boy's face in the crowd…
The shape like the shape of my face, the same nose, and forehead, and the hair is exactly mine as well…
Good, ole' Horace…
Why you just don't shut up and let me once again run fast the streets of my city… Licking with my tongue the droplets from my bleeding nose, whistling at the girls, skipping the classes and riding the bike without the brakes ?
You give me the face good people and, I'll give you my tears…

Eram quod es; eris quod sum. Perfect, George. Especially in this moment of my life. So a sad one. A terrible one. Bravo, sai? I love SO MUCH this intelligent, deep pic.So representative about the human life. My life in a special way. Now.
Ciao,George...

I have the impression to have already pointed this shot like three or four times?
Beautiful George. The most incredible processing with a gorgeous strong contrast. And his hair is something to look over and over and over again. WOW!
Have a formidable weekend!

In February 2008, in its previous incarnation, I wrote this:
I've looked at this photo many times since you posted it. Here is my first reaction. My second was the same, the third too, ... and my last is also the same.
This photo is very special. It had (and still has) a big effect on me. But since the moment you posted it and now, I am wondering what I will be able to write about it. It has provoked a strong emotion inside of me, and I don't know exactly why and what this emotion is all about. The feeling of being inside somebody, in his secret and private world... Like if he could see, in a fraction of a second, in a blurriness of a cloudy vision, all the faces that he has known before... I look at this photo, and some sadness is part of my emotion...
The strangest thing is that I have absolutely no idea what this photo is all about, what was the context, who is this guy, who are these people he is facing... And your note does not help in giving us a hint about these questions. And that might explain why you got so few answers from TE. Don't forget which kind of photos receive so many points and praise even though the photographer had simply to click the shutter without much effort.
...
I still think the same... Somehow, for an unexplained reason, this photo is about the time passing... (And if I understand well your note, I'm not alone to have this feeling...)
