Photographer's Note

You have those moments when everything goes well.
Okay, I follow the weather, know something about
photography and I have a lot of perseverance but
some times you must having a little luck with the situations.

That year you had nice stones in the water
with vegetation on it. A half year later, when
I try to make a better picture with the the new
5D MarkII camera, the stones were removed.
Also the sunlight works very well that week.

Offcourse I was walking in the water, the
see water (waves) were sometimes about 20cm
under the camera :-).

I hope you like this older picture, it's one
of my personal favorites.

Hello Robert - I love the effect your SS has had on the underwater green weed. The colours in this shot are warm and beautiful, composition and detail are of your expected high standard. Prachtige foto. Goede compositie. Ik vind vooral de combinatie van verzadigde kleuren erg mooi.
Het effect van de algen onder water pakt goed uit.
Leuk detail zijn de vogels aan het eind van de diagonaal.

The long exposure has a great impact on this fabulous composition of a pure tranquil scene where those groynes help creating the depth as well as strong focal points. and What a show of colors, this shot certainly packs a punch to it and the silken water render a real moody feel with bags of atmosphere hightened by the subtle shades of blue tones in the sky. Artistic & technically excellent image.

preetty good POV (it was risky for the camera but it's worthing).

Hello Robert,

Congratulations for this beautiful shot, I have to say you are a much more dedicated phtographer than I will ever be. I don't have that patience and I will not step in the water for any shot, especially if the water is cold :) Yes, even when the time is right, sometimes, it also depend very much on the POV and you have proof here, to get wet and be in the right position to get the POV and not many people will. The Result proof to be very unique and very special.

Really beautiful works, I have always admire your work since the beginning, just want reconfirm my gratitude for your hard work.

Ik ben niet zeker of u met de 5D mark II dit beeld kan verbeteren, want ook al is het een pracht van een toestel de foto's moeten steeds gemaakt worden.
Deze is gemaakt en werkelijk een beauty, zonder meer.
Qua kleuren en onderwerp zitten wezekerop de zelfde lijn.
Schitterend werk, goed gedaan.

Even if I really enjoy your magnificent photo I enjoy your note more. It is absolutely true that you have to be in the right place in the right time to take a good photo. And all of a sudden the photo opportunity is gone forever. Photographing is very often taking the opportunity when it turns up and the camera might be of less importance. hi robert,
the colours in the sunlight are wonderful, very nicely saturated and very appealing. the wooden posts are placed perfectly and disappearing out to the sea bringing the viewers eye along with them. the effect of the green seaweed under the water is excellent as is your inclusion of the large foreground stone.

Hi Robert,

The title speaks to your fulfillment with this picture, and it's now wonder...because is really is a great shot! The soft sunlight on the post's and rocks, especially the large one in the foreground, sets an incredibly peaceful atmosphere. The clarity into the water allows for even more color and motion, adding another dynamic to the already attractive scenery captured here. "Beautiful" may be a commonly used description, but it certainly is fitting with a photo such as this. Compliments for another successful result! Have a great day.

I love this composition and its perspective, how the textured wooden poles stand out in this transparent, smooth and fragile environment. A quiet composition with a discreet solidity that allows the marvellous palette of colours mesmerise with its range, gradations, combinations and contrasts.
