Photographer's Note
Pila – picturesquely situated town on the river Gwda in the borderland of western Pomeranian and Great Poland. Over a half of its area is occupied by woodlands and parks which take the land between modern housing districts. Numerous lakes add to the town's beauty. The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside and unspoiled nature which offers active forms of entertainment attracting both Polish and foreign tourists.
The old municipal Staszic Park. Its oldest part was funded in 1900.The park is a conservation area. The park is known for its collection of the rare species of trees and shrubs such as: 9 silver maple trees,4 black poplar trees,4 petiolar oaks,4 European larch trees and a petiolar elm tree.In the deep of the park,an arbor from 1904 made of iron attracts attention.
