Photographer's Note
Iron face, iron arms, iron man - a miner.
This is a new portrait of miner I have meet today at coal mine and problably the last one here at TE beacuse I want to start with my new reportage
"All Saints Factory".
Darek also work with coal combine. He service it.
A coal cobmine as I mentioned at previous photo is a machine which grab a coal from coalwall. Coal combine drives at long, 300-400 mm gallery. Gallery is 1,5 m high. Darek use a uvex google to protect his eyes from water and little stone and coal slivers.
Goodbye underground !

Hi Aleksander, great, great portrait, with some influences from Salgado and Newton appreciable.
A bit too much contrasted but it strengthen the idea of "iron man".
Thank you for sharing,
Stefano

Another fantastic portrait from you. Judging from this image, the work in a coal mine today isn't much easier than it was a hundred years ago. Like in the previous one, the contrast between the tired eyes and the skin covered in coal powder is striking. Great use of light, strong subject and a smart title - there isn't much else to ask for.

Hey Aleksander,
I really like this portrait of this guy. You have created a vintage feel by increasing the contrast to the point of having a nice sheen across the man's soil worn face.
Very effective, nice work.

wow what a capture ...his eys glisten robotically, almost unreal, from his soiled face. Beautiful toning.

What a portrait...
In a way, I find the eyes are the only elements that remain clear and clean in comparison with his skin or his clothes. His look is a bit scary...

The eyes of this man are incredible clear, unbelievable! This is a great and very impressive portrait. The B&W makes him even look rougher and sturdier than he would probably be in reality. He doesn't appear to be standing outside. What did you use as background?

Excellent portrait. The soft background is nice too; did you make it up through edition or is it real?

Very good portrait. Could you please detail what adjustments were made to the photo, as it does not look like the original image. It looks like it has undergone some serious photoshop work, so I find it hard to believe it's the original version.

This portrait blows me away. I wonder what he's thinking of, his eyes stare at a point unknown, steel-like, something unreal in them, I miss human expression. Very special. Congrats!
Pozdrawiam,
