Photographer's Note

Slowinski National Park offers several interesting places to visit. The most popular area can be reached from the resort town Łeba and because the resort itself is very busy, this area is the most visited part of the park. Wydma Łącka (Łącka Dune) from which this photo was taken, is the highest sand dune in the park (30 m above the sea level). The area accessible from Łeba is very impressive but quite crowded and I don't think I managed to take a photo good enough to convince you about its beauty. I had to make a hard choice between capturing the photogenic sand patterns or the wider view. Since the light was rather dispersed on that day, I decided to photograph wider scenes here but I will show some sand patterns photographed on another day at another location. The sand dunes are stretched between the Baltic Sea in the north, which you see behind the forest and quite large lakes in the south which I will show you in the next photo.
