About the tram...
The 337+644 couple IS an example of a large tram car series called 5N which was manufactured between 1957 and 1961.
The firs series of N trams, called 2N, operated in Lodz from the beginning of the 1950s. Since 1960s, trams were modernised to one directional. Manually operated doors were replaced by automatic ones.

The Tourist Tram Line is a project of the Old Trams Enthusiasts Club (KMST - Klub Milosnikow Starych Tramwajow), MPK-Lodz and Road and Transport Administration.
Every summer since 2003 the heritage 5N+5ND tram takes its passengers for a journey to the 1960s. The route of Line 0, as it was originally called, always led close to the most important landmarks of todi. Since 2012, the heritage tram circulates on 43, the most picturesque tram line in Poland. All conductors are members of the Old Trams Enthusiasts Club.Conductors open and close manual doors, sell tickets and make sure that all passengers have a safe journey. They are also eager to tell you about the history of public transport in Lodz.

Route one way is about 27 km long. Travel by tram takes 90 minutes.
The activities of the tram only on Sundays during the summer.
