Photographer's Note
Some of the new part of the old city hall on market square (Rynek) is now the Spiz Restaurant. I never ate there but apart from poor / slow service most of the reviews were quite good. Savvy tourists know that you pay top prices for premium locations. This is true in Austria, Greece, and many other countries. eg in Crete, absolute beachfront prices for a meal are 30 Euro, 1 street back, 25 Euro, 3 streets back, 15 Euro, centre of old city 10 streets back, 5 Euro. Tavernas frequented by Greeks will always be cheaper than tourist restaurants. Same applies in Poland.

Bonjour, cher Chris,

Hi Chris
Yes - basic rule of travel never eat in the main tourist zone. Amazing building though with perfect colour and sharpness.
And great in the larger version.
Cheers

Hello Chris,
I think differential pricing applies everywhere you go. Also, that it is usually better to eat where the locals eat in terms of price and quality. Nevertheless, this is a very attractive looking restaurant and I would be happy sitting outside with a beer or a coffee taking in the atmosphere. I like the framing that shows us two aspects of the architecture. Also, the warm ambient light and colours. Excellent sharpness.

Hello Chris,
I would never eat anything in a restaurant with a location like this. I would hardly even have a cup of coffee because the differences of price and service are so ridiculous, compared with places just one or two blocks away. But this building is worth a look, and in this warm light it looks very inviting (but I can resist such temptations).
Kind regards,
Gert

Ha! ha! Chris, good information about eating. You only choose a touristy restaurant if you want the experience of being in the building or experiencing the location; when you are hungry you think more carefully!
This is not only a very huge and very beautiful building, it is bathed in a glorious light. There are diners and a pedestrian to create a storyline.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Chris,

Amicalement

Hi Chris,
Warm toned late afternoon sunshine fits perfectly with pale brown walls of this lovely building. All those little details look so good. I also like the flower pots. That cafe looks very cosy.

Hi Chris
The architectural style is hard to ignore with its welcoming yellow bathe in autumn warm light. I think you've captured the refinement enhanced by interesting surrounding features. Excellent shot, Congrats.
Best regards

Hi Chris,
indeed I belong to the people who, if I can only afford it, prefer to eat in a nice location, especially that meals usually take a lot of time so I don't wast time but still have nice views in front of my eyes.
Interestingly I noticed that in some countries better location means better restaurant e.g. in Germany or Poland, while in Spain or Italy better location means worse restaurant as they are overprices and of extremely low quality... I remember some meals in Barcelona, I am still sick thinking about the food there because I wanted to eat in a nice location :)
Nice building here captured in a good light. I am just surprised that you did not correct the perspective,
Nice to see something from Poland. I may be in Wroclaw this year...

Hello Chris,
Quite a fancy building for the restaurant - a hint that it will be expensive to eat there.
Regards,
MT
