Hall of the Main Railway Station in Wroclaw.
The Main Railway Station in Wroclaw is the biggest railway station of Lower Silesia, located at the junction of several important routes. The first station was built in 1841-1842, it was a small complex of buildings with only one platform.
Current station was built in in 1855 - 1857, it had one platform, but the platform hall was about 200 metres long, and it was regarded as one of the biggest structures of this kind in Europe. In 1899, the construction of five new platforms began, four of them covered by a large roof. At the turn of the 19th and 20th century railway station was rebuilt and expanded, with the growing railway the station was becoming increasingly important. In 2010 - 2012 the station was completely renovated and modernized.
