Photographer's Note

Tenement house at the Main Market square in Wroclaw. At the Market square there are now 60 numbered plots. Each property has a traditional name, usually associated with the coat of arms visible on the facade or related to the history of the house itself, for instance Under the Griffins or Under the Blue Sun. This house is called Under the Golden Sun. It was built in the place of two houses from the 13th century, it was repeatedly rebuilt and enlarged, its final appearance is the result of rebuilding in Baroque style (1694-1695).
