Photographer's Note

All types of fog form when the relative humidity reaches 100% and the air temperature drops below the dewpoint, pushing it lower by forcing the water vapor to condense. Fog can form suddenly, and can dissipate just a rapidly, depending on what side of the dewpoint the temperature is on.

Fog reduces visibility. Although some forms of transport can penetrate fog using radar, road vehicles have to travel slowly and use more lights. Localised fog is especially dangerous, as drivers can be caught by surprise. Fog is particularly hazardous at airports, where some attempts have been made to develop methods (such as using heating or spraying salt particles) to aid fog dispersal. These methods enjoy some success at temperatures below freezing.

Hi Dorota,

Your Nickname have something with Blue but here no blues and here a near B&W picture with some interesting color life so well seen by eye cath, moment and simple nature view in a excelent vertical enquadrement&perspective view. Difficult shot in a foggy day that reflects very well the nature mood and moment. Very well seen in a high quality picture and composition with splendid light and also graphism artwork.

Simple, nostalgic but beautiful. Congratulations and I hope for some Blue ones from you. All the best to you and yours.

a ja tydzien temu jechalem przez ilawę i ani dorotki ani męża krzysia nie spotkalem, a lasy takie to ja nie wiem gdzie tam u was są ;-))
fajnie tam macie, na tej warmii, pagórki, jeziorka, stare miejscowości, dziewcze - ile tam ludziciekawych do focenia, ale i mgla tez może być fajna (ciekawa ta ilawa, podobala mi się, ale nie mialem czasu się zatrzymać, jechalem do malborka, moze następnym razem :-))

Nie tylko we mgle, ale i ze ¶niegiem jeszcze, który w tym roku d³ugo zabawia³ w zakamarkach parków, cmentarzy i pól. Bardzo ³adny, ca³kiem zimowy jeszcze kjlimat w tym kadrze. Niemniej ¶nieg cofa siê pokazuj±c czerwieñ opad³ych jesieni± li¶ci. Bardzo ³adny kad, swietna g³êbia ostro¶ci i kolory.

Witaj,
Takie zdjęcia mnie urzekają. Coś co, znamy, w zasadzie oczywista rzeczywistość, ale mimo to zdjęcie przekazuje magię chwili. Zdjęcie staje sie niezwykłe, gdy oglądający zdaje się je odbierać czymś więcej niż jedynie wzrokiem. Na mnie to zdjęcie działa, więc chyba jest magiczne. Od stony technicznej nie ma się do czego przyczepić; powiem tylko, że urzeka mnie prawie zupełny brak kolorów jedynie z bardzo delikatną nutą ciemnej czerwieni czy też brązu liści.

An amazing winter shot, with superb tones and hues. The caption states that the medium is B&W, but I detect red/orange leaves that are most enhancing. The fog effect lends a real aura of mystery, and the snow lends its own ambience and contrast. I especially like your use of the vertical format here. Well done.

Jak widze czranobiale zdjecie to musze cos napisac:) Czarnobiala mgla, to poprostu magia. To co w tym zdjeciu mnie zaskakuje to jakosc swiatla, a szczegolnie tam w gornym lewym rogu. Jakos tego zdjecie jest ekstra. Mocne czarne i mocne biele. Bardzo dobra robota.
