About Poland. Page Fourteen: About Cult
There was not really a cult of Lenin in Poland. We had him in many public places but I remember that it was nothing compared to what you could find in East Germany or Czechoslovakia.
You can still find some signs of the past era. But in the places like this one - a pub where all decorations are made of the original "gadgets" of socialism.
The man on the photo is the owner of the place, one of the most interesting pubs I have seen in my life.
We'l be back here again soon.

Hola Jerzy,
(Coming from Barcelona )
This is an incredible almost humoristic image of a guy with medals under the portrait of Lenin .. The red adds a lot perhaps you did saturate the colors I am not sure, but you have something very particular, which could make the front page of a story, in a magazine, or a photo exhibition.
Wish you a wonderful week-end my friend - Izzet

Hi Jerzy,
not only the pub is high decorated, but even the owner himself. T like the red tones and the way the wall is illuminated. An interesting scenery, Nino

Ciekawe - prawnie rzecz biorąc propagowanie ideoligii komunistycznej i faszystowskiej jest u nas równie zakazane. Tymczasem jest taki pub i to wzbudza wesołość, nawet. Nie wyobrażam sobie podobnej knajpy w stylu hitlerowskim. A więc w naszej mentalności komunizm jest traktowany inaczej niż w przepisach prawa. Pozdrawiam.

Hello Jerzy. Suitably the picture the color red dominates. A successful replication on the past. Past is frequently also nostalgia. One sees the things in another light. The photo is well taken and amuses me much. Many greetings, Wolfgang.

A fantastic portrait of an era, Jerzy. I guess I remember this pub from one of the first pictures of yours that I saw on TE, with the coke. The red/golden tones are overwhelming here, and a lot of memorabilia with Russian text create the atmosphere of the old days, to which this man and his medals (I can even recognize some of them) fit excellently.
Cheers
Alexander

Hi Jerzy,
The scene could be from a movie set, though the pub owner looks more like a Cossack perhaps than a commissar. I like the reddish theme here, the lighting effects, and the coffee mugs half full. Indeed humorous and captured at the decisive moment. Well done, Jerzy.

I love your images of this place J - and nice to meet the character who runs the place ......you gotta take me there next time! it ought to be calledc the Red Bar....because somehow I don't see much green anywhere!! Interesting really how individualistic this place is when it is representing something which was so regimented.

This commie stuff has some discrete charm of days bygone.
I was always wondering who are those people who REALLY believe it was a good way of living.
It can be just pure business purpose, no affection, but...h
His face, his uniform - say something different.
Great photo, Jerzy.
Never too much of a red in our life.\

Love the overall reds all across the frame. Even the guy's face has a red tinge. The light in his arms has also a red hue... Amazing. So thoughtful... Very good composition.
