Photographer's Note

Another photo from my yesterday walk in Lazienki (Royal Baths) Park, I tried to make it a bit Gunnar's style.
I had another candidate for a main post, winter love

I wonder which one you prefer.
We have fabulous weather today - not much frost, a lot of snow and sunshine. Let's hope that Sunday will be like that too. Enjoy weekend.

Hello Malgo,
This is a lovely winter scene with soft light on the building. The woman and child, both wearing splashes of red, are important elements in the composition. A beautifully sharp and rendered image. Interesting WS but I think that you chose the best picture as your main post.

Picture conveys a calm atmosphere, yet looks very cold, but well collected, Malgo.
All elements on the photo are in contrast to the white snow, fresh on ground.
Some snow grow on trees in your country...

Hi Malgo
looks wonderful this winter walk. A real sense of the quiet and magic that comes with a snow fall. All we have is rain here, which is just as well really because we would be under about 30 meters of the white stuff! Love the light in this shot it is so soft and gentle, like the snow. Both shots are wonderful and the second a tad more romantic I suppose.

Superb winter photo with very nice view to beautiful palace. The view is very well framed by large trees. The walking people add nice life and excellent contrast to the scene.

Il se dégage une très belle atmosphère de cette composition. L'enfant au manteau rouge tient bien la main de l'adulte en marchant dans la neige. L'immeuble à l'arrière plan est très beau.

una foto quasi fresca di giornata che ci mostra una Varsazia sotto una bella coltre di neve e immagino anche con temperature tutt'altro che primaverili.
Molto curata la composizione così come la gestione della parte tecnica.

Hi Malgo,

Two lovely winter scenes but I think that your main picture is the one which I prefer.

Yes, this picture does remind me of Gunnar's style, our attention being drawn to the red clothing of the people in the mid-distance. That also draws our eyes to the beautiful facade of the magnificent cream coloured building in the distance, nicely framed by the trees.

Beautiful light and colours, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness in both pictures.

Hi Malgo,
A very fine winter picture with an interesting building and some persons that bring life to the scene. I am glad that you also have discovered that some contrasting colours always can add extra interest. It really doesn´t have to be a red eye-catcher in the picture, any colour that add something different can work. A lot of snow here, do you have very low temperatures as well?

è un'immagine rilassante, tutto sembra tranquillo, anche i rumori sono attenuati dalla coltre di neve.
Un bel quadro, con i due personaggi dai colori forti che colpiscono l'attenzione e delle belle architetture come sfondo.

widze,ze w koncu doczekaliscie sie zimy w Warszawie(bylem pod koniec grudnia i pogoda byla wiosenna:)
Lazienki w zimowej scenerii maja swoj niepowtarzalny urok.Swietny kadr i kompozycja.Podoba mi sie,ze uchwycilas rowniez ta kobiete z dzieckiem(ich jaskrawe ubranie dodaja super kontrast do bialej scenerii wokol)
PS.ja wole ta wersje z szersza perspektywa,chociaz z pewnoscia drugie zdjecie z para zakochanych tez ma swoj "klimat".

Fabulous composition, which on one side has the charm of the snow, which gives that nice wintry touch, but also the chosen site is very beautiful, with that beautiful palace in the background, and the great graphics of the trees in front of it.
Magnificent this palette.
Perfect light management and sharpness.

Ciao cara Itchy Feet

Despite it being stinking hot here, your photo gave me a little shiver. Wow that looks cold! Cold but beautiful and I love the contrast between all that white snow and the bright clothing of the walkers. The architecture in the BG is marvellous and the sight of snow on the benches and everywhere the I can see is not just beautiful, it is a real novelty for me.

Hi Malgo,
Great photo of this scene in Warsaw, I prefer this one as I like the Mum and son with their bright colours against the white of the snow.
I love the way the snow as been caught in the two trees on the right's forked trunks.

love snow in the city like this, its very beautiful.

Hi Malgo,

Brrr, I'm cold just looking at this! :) Filled with sunshine, blue skies and warm temperatures here in Arizona, this is chilling. haha

I love the simplicity of this shot, and the minimal color pallet works just right to convey the wintery season. Perfectly placed are the two people, hand in hand, with the red coat and bag making for a strong focal point against the snow filled scenery. A lovely, and even tender, moment captured. Very nice WS pictures too. Thanks for braving the cold to bring us these photos. Enjoy the week ahead.

I love this winter scene with lots of snow. The image is well composed with the two in red walking between the snow covered benches and beneath the snowy branches of the trees. The architecture in the background is also interesting.

Hello dear Malgo - A charming shot with an old-fashioned feel. I do like the mother and child walking hand-in-hand, they make a super FP to the composition and not a car in sight. juz spacer po Lazienkach przy tej pogodzie bylby teraz dla mnie nie lada wyzwaniem, chociaz Nadia cieszyla by sie bardzo sniegiem, a podroz do Finlandii to juz przygoda ekstremalna :)
Piekna zimowa dekoracja, przyjemnie sie oglada - u nas nadal zero sniegu i mam nadzieje ze tak pozostanie.
Urocze miejsce jak tylko bede kiedys jeszcze w Warszawie to musze koniecznie wybrac sie do Lazienek -bylem tam chyba tylko raz w zyciu bardzo dawno temu..

I enjoyed Lazienki in summer and never had a chance to see it in winter..Loved the photograph and the atmosphere.The way you took the photo behind those trees is amazing!
