Zalipie, Poland is perhaps one of the most beautiful villages in Poland, but surely the most colorful one. It is known for its tradition of painting special, folksy flower patterns.

The whole village is painted and it charms people with its special atmosphere. There is no other place like that – the paintings are unique. And they are everywhere – not only houses are painted, but also barns, dog kennels, walls, furniture, fences, clothes, you name it!

Hello Zbigniew,

This is a very old, rudimentary building but wow, it looks amazing with these flower patterns painted over its exterior. The patterns really bring it to life and I like how the outside feature (maybe a well) is even more decorated!
It is a fine, sharp exposure, well composed.

cześc Zbyszek, Zalipie jest słynne, ale jakos nie udało mi sie tam byc. Śliczne zdjęcie tej ściany domu i studni pomalowanych w kwiatowe wzory.

Hello Zbigniew, this is a charming house, obviously quite old yet beautifully decorated.
I like the slightly tilted pieces of wood, the horizontal lines and the vertical lines not quite true, it all adds to its charm.
Even the cover of the well being decorated too!

Ta urocza wioska jest zaledwie 40 minut od mojegop rodzinnego miasta a jednak musze przyznac ze nie bylem tam nigdy w zyciu.
No coz musze to kiedys naprawic.

I saw the latest uploaded one ... this is for me the best.
The wooden houses suit better with this tradition folksy flower patterns.
As you said that these paintings are EVERYWHERE !!!
This must be the 'Sweetest & Delightful' village I've ever seen or known. I would very much to see that for myself. Zalipie , I'll keep that in mind :-)
You know, here in Breda ... we've a lot of old wooden barns which painted in black, it would be amazing to see these flower patterns painted on it.
Wouldn't mind a bit of Polish tradition over here :-)

marvelous these drawings in colors in the façade of this old timber house, we can see as the structure was curved by the weather and time. excellent colors and a special sample of architecture and art.
