I visited this place. Couldn't bring myself to take a single picture. You did a good job - perfect capture.

Your range of tones is superb, enhanced by this foggy weather. Every detail contributes to a beautiful composition (line of black trees, man, snow on the stairs, fading blacks and greys..). Your photo is perfectly in accordance with the emotion such a place conveys.

This is an excellent shot, and a great way of conveying the sadness that must just engulf this place. Really fitting.

Simply fantastic shot...The composition is great...the fog adds to the mood and atmosphere...The lonely man in the middle of the empty road is a great touch...Very well done!!!

The quality of the air is amazing. The fog makes a great filter that, in the distance, makes the view fade into some sort of mysterious unknown... The perfectly large DOF contributes to this being effective. The title you gave evokes a lot but I wish you'd added a note...

Just another very touching picture. Your B&W work is amazing and gives the right atmosphere to these places.
And I really don't understand why you haven't got any critiques on you two previous shots. They were at least as impressive as this one?
Maybe people don't realize that the name Brzezinka is same as Birkenau?
Please people, look at Joshua's two previous photos. They are saying so much and they are very beautifully made...

Even that this shot is low in contrast and focus, that I may not like in others, it is fits very well to make a mood for this picture.
Excellent.

Cette image est très bien faite c'est une réussite totale.
Vous avez réussi à créer cette athmosphère lugubre, ce climat dur et froid avec la neige et le brouillard. Cette image rappelle les années sombres où des centaines de milliers d'innocents ont péri.
This image is very well made it is a total success. You succeeded in creating this lugubrious atmosphere, this hard and cold climate with snow and fog. This image recalls us the darks years where hundreds of thousands of innocents have perished.

Even without the title, this is a great photograph. The solitary figure adding to the thought process of looking at it.
I also think it is entirely appropriate that you have left this work without a Photographer's Note too - as we should all be made to think for ourselves when we look here.

VERY powerful image. Your composition is spot on and the single man in the distance adds a focal and human touch to the shot. The feeling of sadness is intense all around. You've managed to capture this subject in the right way. Good job.

Everything was told on this photo but how not to add my two points to show how much I appreciate your image which so well consists and where we guess so many dramas.

Great picture. The tall trees form a gloomy promenade into which it appears the figure is fading into ghost status.
