Photographer's Note

The Church of Sts. Peter and Paul is the 1st and the oldest Baroque Jesuit church in Krakow.

This construction was begun in 1597 by Jozef Britius but completed by Giovanni Trevano. The facade is clearly derived from the Il Gesů Church in Rome. The stone statues of the 12 Apostles on the fence, looming larger-than-life-size, are replicas of the 18th-century late Baroque originals.
