Statue of Jan Zamoyski(1542 - 1605).

Zamo¶æ pronounced is a city in southeastern Poland, situated in the southern part of Lublin Voivodeship (since 1999), about 90 km from Lublin, 247 km from Warsaw and 60 km from the border with Ukraine.

The historical centre of Zamo¶æ was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992, following a decision of the sixteenth ordinary session of the World Heritage Committee, held between 7 and 14 December 1992 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States. As described by UNESCO:
Zamo¶æ is a unique example of a Renaissance town in Central Europe, consistently designed and built in accordance with the Italian theories of the "ideal town," on the basis of a plan which was the result of perfect cooperation between the open-minded founder, Jan Zamoyski, and the outstanding architect, Bernardo Morando. Zamo¶æ is an outstanding example of an innovative approach to town planning, combining the functions of an urban ensemble, a residence, and a fortress in accordance with a consistently implemented Renaissance concept. The result of this is a stylistically homogeneous urban composition with a high level of architectural and landscape values. A real asset of this great construction was its creative enhancement with local artistic architectural achievements.

Bonjour, Crhistophe,
Cette statue équestre est joliment mise en valeur. Selon la tradition, lorsqu'un cheval a une patte levée, c'est que le cavalier a été blessé lors d'une bataille ? Quel est le vrai du faux, je l'ignore.

Excellent picture of Jan Zamoyski( on his horse.
The deep blue sky, the fresh green of the trees and the low POV are strong point of the composition.

Excellent composition featuring this impressive equestrian statue. The statue is well placed in the frame and the technical quality is very good indeed. Presumably this is the man after whom the town is named or did he take his name from the town? Have a pleasant Sunday afternoon.

A great way to present this statue against the deep blue sky, it makes it look so proud and strong, exactly as i would imagine the sculptor intended. Lovely subject and combination of colours

La statue est parfaitement placée dans le cadre. un bel espace laissé devant le museau de la bête. La contre plongée lui donne beaucoup d'ampleur, comme si elle en avait besoin.

W Zamosciu powinien byc pomnik Zamoyskiego, w koncu przeciez zalozyl to miasto. Dobry szczegolowy obraz i swietnie uchwycona postac hetmana patrzacego sie w obiektyw. Atrakcyjna kolorystyka, dobra jakosc
